The Marketing Voodoo report was one of the rare marketing guides that was truly an eye opener. With millions of ebooks floating around on the internet it seems like there are always hundreds of competitors in your niche – competitors that are probably more qualified, more experienced and probably “smarter” than you.
Apart from all this “noise” in your niche, there’s also the whole issue with “free” information.
“Why would people pay to buy your ebook, when they can probably find the information for free somewhere on the web?”
This is where the Marketing Voodoo report comes in. If you’ve been struggling to sell your ebooks online and if people just don’t seem to WANT it, then you are probably missing these key ingredients that Eben Pagan shares in this report.
One of the most important things you have to understand immediately if you want to make money online, is the fact that people don’t buy information products based on it’s actual value. I mean, think about it. ALL ebooks or audio courses or videos have exactly the same “actual” value. It’s just bits of data.
The real difference comes in with the PERCEIVED VALUE. This is what people pay money for. The higher the perceived value, the more money people are willing to pay for it. It’s as simple as that. It’s because of the perceived value that people are willing to pay up to $197 for a 30 page ebook.
Making information useful and valuable is crucial in having success with your information marketing business. In this report Eben shows you exactly what you need to do to take the information and knowledge you have and how to turn it into something that has value.
When you create something that has a high perceived value, you increase the desire for it and when you increase the desire for it, you will automatically start selling a lot more of it.
It really is like Voodoo. By making some tweaks and changes to your information products and performing some voodoo on it, you can not only sell it for more money, but you can sell a LOT more, just because the perceived value is so much higher.
Following my previous post about my “Aaaha” moment abut creating products that speak to your actual prospect’s needs and desires I came across this duzie of a product.
It’s called “How To Cure Everything”
It’s a ClickBank product and I was quite surprised to see that it had quite a high Gravity, but this is an example of what NOT to do.
Contrast this to another Clickbank product “The 3 Natural Cure For Acne”. This is specific and it immediately cuts off a chunk of the market that is small enough so that you can start speaking to specific needs of a prospect.
They are not looking for natural cures in general. They are looking for natural cures for acne. Apart from that, they are looking for something that’s quick. The promise f curing acne in 3 days obviously appeals to this market.
This will help you to zoom in on your prospects and even though the market is still quite broad at least you are not talking to everyone and you are not talking top generalities.
This is an extremely important piece of marketing advice. Narrower is almost always better. Don’t try and talk to everyone
Cheers!
Deon.
P.S
The ($12,424) is how much I made just 3 months after I realized this mistake and fixed it.
When I joined the Guru Mastermind I was on the verge of giving up for good. Eben and his promises of teaching me how to build a $120,000 business was my last hope. In fact, he kind of laughed off $120,000 – as if my goal was way too low.
Within the first hour of the Guru Mastermind Course I realized exactly why my online business wasn’t making any money.
What a revelation.
As painful as it was, it was liberating to know why.
Spending thousands of dollars on finding that “holy grail” – that “one thing” that will make my business work was all just an illusion. An online business works, only when you have all the fundamental components in place.
My BIG realization was this:
I was creating products for myself and for my peers. Although my ebooks and audio courses were “great” and interesting they did not do anything for anyone.
The fact of the matter is this. People go online to find solutions to problems. People buy information products to get specific results and to get themselves out of specific circumstances. They don’t really care about me and my “memoirs”.
One of the most important lessons from Eben Pagan and The Guru Mastermind is this. Find out what your prospects want and then give it to them. This is how you add value to a market. The more people you can help to solve their problems, the more money you will make.
